Basic Needs Basic Rights Kenya in collaboration with the Ministry of Health hosted stakeholders engaged in mental health interventions drawn from Kenya and the Africa Region at the Rising Above Stigma – Youth Mental Health Summit 2023. This auspicious event was aimed at giving stakeholders a platform to review lessons learnt from initiatives that address mental health stigma and improve mental health, wellness and resilience in Kenya and beyond. Ultimately, the Summit was meant to provide an avenue to look into the progress thus far in youth mental health initiatives, share and deliberate on learnings from these initiatives, and inform future interventions backed by evidence.
