Community mental health for small holder coffee farmers in Bungoma County

Project Overview

This program seeks to contribute to improved wellbeing (social, economic, and health status) of small holder coffee farmers and their families in Bungoma County in Western Kenya through simultaneously improving coffee production, alternative income generation, health, and social resilience for small holder coffee farmers, including women, youth, OVCs, their families and their wider communities.

Outcomes the program targets

  • People with mental health conditions and other disabilities included in community life.
  • Increased levels of awareness on mental health issues and epilepsy.
  • Community systems set up for early detection, diagnosis and treatment.
  • Increased livelihood opportunities for people with mental health conditions and other disabilities.
